Software House offers easy, low-cost access control solution for small sites

C•CURE 9000 SiteServer gives customers a user-friendly, web-based physical security solution in a compact, easy-to-install network device

Lexington, MA — January 4, 2010 — Software House, a Tyco International company, today announced C•CURE 9000 SiteServer, a compact, network device that provides a full-featured, low-cost access control solution for small applications, such as K-12 schools, satellite offices, and retail stores. Security managers at these sites can use C•CURE 9000 SiteServer as a complete single-box solution: from designing and printing badges for new employees, to monitoring day-to-day personnel activity via the easy to use web-interface.

“Software House solutions have traditionally been known as enterprise solutions with comprehensive features and scalable software platforms,” said Warren Brown, Director of Product Management for Software House technologies. “It is the innovative platform design of C•CURE 9000 SiteServer that lends itself perfectly to smaller sites looking for powerful access control functionality in a small, cost-effective form factor.”

With its compact design and pre-installed software, C•CURE 9000 SiteServer is ideal for customers looking for an access control solution that is quick and cost-effective to deploy and manage while at the same time easy to learn and operate. An intuitive web interface allows customers to log onto the system remotely to manage personnel records, display dynamic views of doors, readers, inputs/outputs, and controllers, and monitor system activity.

Used with the complete line of iSTAR controllers and RM readers, C•CURE 9000 SiteServer includes a pre-configured starter database containing 32 doors, with associated inputs, outputs, alarms, and card formats to reduce setup time.  The unit is also equipped with a 16 GB solid state drive (SSD) designed and optimized for system longevity and real-time operation with ample room for added storage including the back up of the system database. The device is small enough to fit on a desktop, or with optional mounting brackets, can be installed in a 19-inch server rack or mounted on a wall in an IT environment.

C•CURE 9000 SiteServer also makes it easy for security integrators. With everything pre-installed and configured, integrators can have a complete 8-, 16-, or 32-reader system operational in a fraction of the time required for other systems. A network connection is all that is necessary for system to be operational and for a customer’s facility to be highly secure and its personnel well protected.
